It’s that time of year when the rush is on to get those special gifts for everyone in your life. This year I have been dashing around getting the last minute presents, and feeling the rush, as I get ready to head out of town. I decided to take some time and make a little list for all of you that have a Lucy Lipstick in your life, of some of the things she might like to see under the tree or in her stocking.

One of my favorite places is Anthropologie, at Stony Point Fashion Park. These things were found on the website, anthropologie.com, and some are in-store.

• The Iced Rosettes Clutch, it is a small bag with big style, very sweet and feminine
• Granted wishes dress, for an evening out
• Frozen Crystals dress
• Petticoat scarf, to keep warm
• Lollia Foaming bath bubbles, these smell like heaven and are so beautifully packaged, it is the perfect way to relax.
• Piet Ring, a large cocktail ring full of style and waiting to be noticed.
• Simmering Ring, Clean lined but with extra details
• To-a-tee corset, for a romantic evening and some fun this would do the trick.

Anthropologie also has great books, and homewares that any girl would enjoy.

A favorite local place to buy gifts, and jewelry is Quirk Gallery, located at 311 West Broad Street. Many of the pieces there are one of a kind, and most are handmade.

• The black beaded cluster necklace, by Gerald Yosca for a girl that loves sparkle.
• Geometric bangles by Anthony Yosca are real unique and fun.

For a girl that loves to relax in a warm foaming bath after a long day, check out the Molton Brown collection at Saks Fifth Avenue, at Stony Point Fashion Park.  Everything in the line smells delicious and luxurious.

For stocking-stuffers the best place to visit in town is of course, Carytown.

Especially Mongrel and World of Mirth. Lucy’s will also enjoy small treats from any cosmetics counter, in a stocking. For something fun try, Dragon lipstick by Chanel, the perfect red for Lucy.

I think one of the most important things to keep in mind when buying a gift for someone in your life, is to remember them while doing it.

Some of the best gifts are not tied with perfect ribbons, but memories that are made because someone made you feel special.

My favorite gift anyone has ever given me had no monetary value but was made of ink on paper, a letter. Sometimes the old fashioned way of writing, not by text, or e-mail is the most sincere form of communication.
