It’s that time again, mark your calendars, Virginia Pridefest 2012 brought to you by Nationwide, Absolut, Barefoot Wine and Bubbly is set for September 29 at Kanawha Plaza, 7th & E. Canal St.
Virginia Pride has made it their mission to bring pride, celebrate unity, and embrace diversity in the community of Richmond. The pride board works to improve the lives of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Virginians through creating visibility, and addressing full human and civil rights. In order to advocate equality, the panel exposes these issues by educating, networking, and coordinating celebrations for all people.
VA Pridefest is for the entire community through a celebration of diversity and acceptance. The board invites all community members to attend Virginia Pride’s Open Board Meetings that are held the first Sunday of every month at 5 p.m. located at The Gay Community Center of Richmond. Visit their website, http://www.vapride.org/, in order to check their calendar for any changes that may occur. The board can also be reached at (804) 592-1093.
