As the spring turns to summer, and the trees turn back to a healthy green, the rainbow flags come out and city streets nationwide spend Saturdays packed with LGBT folks reminding the public that they exist.
Reddit user baney was at Utah Pride in Salt Lake City with camera in hand, and they captured some great moments from the festivities. You can see the entire album here, but here are a few of our favorite photos from the day.
There was even report of Boy Scouts members marching in the event, as seen in the video below. A former scout master, Dave McGrath, spoke with SLC’s Fox 13 about why he and a few other former boy scouts, in full uniform, came to the event. “Scouts have a duty to this nation… My duty is clear. I stand with all Americans, some of us are gay.”
