The Services and Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Elders (SAGE) interest group created through a partnership with the Gay Community Center of Richmond and VCU’s School of Gerontology will be receiving its official charter from the national organization.
In a newsletter sent yesterday by project coordinator Shannon Marling, she announced the news and information about other projects coming up for SAGE in Richmond. The Fourth Sunday Speaker Series continues with topics on abuse and neglect in February and alzheimer’s in March.
The organization is also working with Bon Secours Hospice Services on an LGBT Grief and Loss Support group that will run Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8 p.m. from March 1 – April 26.
For more information on SAGE, e-mail Marling at marlingsc@vcu.edu.
