An anonymous contributor who later identifies himself as Jason in the comments section has posted an opinion piece titled “Homosexuality and the Church – A Different Take on the Conservative Perspective” on Richmond.com.
In the piece, the writer first apologizes for the hardships and persecutions faced by many homosexuals from those that claim to represent God. He says that people with same sex attraction can’t just flip a switch, but later discusses healing homosexuality.
And no, people with same-sex attraction can’t “just change their mind”; something that entrenched in the soul is not altered with the ease of flipping a light switch.
He further discusses homosexuality as sin and his interpretation of the Bible’s declaration of a partnership between man and woman. The final section of this essay-style blog is entitled “Restoration Is Available” offering advice to the reader about what to do regarding their homosexual feelings.
Now, someone will surely say, “Do you know anyone who has been “healed” of same-sex attraction?” No, I don’t.
I don’t know anyone who has been raised from the dead, either, but that does not prevent me from acknowledging that my God can accomplish both, “for with God, nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:37
Readers are also given additional resources including a local ministry affiliated with Exodus International.
