Remember the lesbian custody battle between Lisa Miller and her former partner Janet Jenkins? The couple lived in Northern Virginia, were married in Vermont, and Miller gave birth to their daughter from an anonymous sperm donor.
Fast forward and the couple breaks up, Miller joins an ex-gay ministry and Jenkins received visitation rights. After more court rulings in both Virginia and Vermont, custody went to Jenkins. Miller reportedly fled with her daughter to Central America.
The Associated Press reports that a Tennessee pastor helping Miller has been charged with aiding in kidnapping.
Timothy David Miller, 34, of Crossville, Tenn., is accused of helping to arrange passage for Lisa Miller of Virginia and daughter Isabella Miller Jenkins, who have been on the run since 2009 and now are believed to be living in Nicaragua.
Timothy Miller is not related to the mother, but does work at an Ohio Christian ministry and people with links to Liberty University allegedly provided a beach house for Lisa Miller and her daughter to live.
