Mothers & Others of Virginia hosts a Friend Raising Lunch on Wednesday, May 25. The afternoon lunch event aims to raise political awareness around LGBT issues and build membership for the organization.
Mike Signer, the creator of the New Dominion Project, a Virginia-based Political Action Committee and Dr. Tom Shields from the University of Richmond’s Center for Leadership in Education will speak at the event.
A meet and great begins at noon, followed by lunch at 12:30 and remarks at 1 p.m. The luncheon is $25 per person. A $40 contribution includes a one year membership to Mothers & Others. Tickets are available here.
Mothers & Others is a a grass roots organization combining the power of motherhood, family, friends & fair-minded people to secure equal rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children, relatives, & friends.
