As we gear up for a very busy March, we have a little extra help over at GayRVA.com. Meet Teddy Gregson.
Teddy is a Fredericksburg, Virginia native, now studying Creative Advertising at Virginia Commonwealth University. Teddy calls Richmond’s Oregon Hill home today, and utilizes his bike as primary mode of transport. Teddy finds most inspirations in his idols: Liza Minnelli circa 1972, as well as Andy Warhol, Ginsberg, and Jack Kerouac. He solidifies moments with tattoos of the Warhol Liza portrait on his right arm and an M.C. Escher print on his left.
Teddy has worked in a variety of settings from cashier at Trader Joe’s to server at The Jefferson Hotel. Teddy came to GayRVA.com as a continuing advocate of social media as a networking agent. His speedy Twitter response caught the eye of the rest of the team. Check him out @teddygee.
His design principles exemplify elements of simplicity, visual heirarchy and balance. Growing up, Teddy studied dance while his father, Chris, delicately dipped his brush from pungent turpentine to oil paints and mother, Becky, worked at the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Asian Art in Washington, D.C.
He now enjoys the fruits of a family enveloped in art and music, displaying much of his his father’s art in is home and enjoying hand-me-down records from his parents. His brother, Robbie calls New York City home working towards a career in film and screen editing. Teddy values family and friends’ steadfast encouragement.
At GayRVA, he will be helping with advertising, event marketing, and our street team.
