John Oliver, host of HBO’s Last Week Tonight, returned to LGBTQ issues last night and once again his look at the topic is scathing.
Over the course of 14 minutes, he reminds us just how unprotected openly LGBTQ people are in the workplace, in housing, and in a myriad of other normal, everyday occurrences which could lead them to getting fired or denied service because of who they love.
Between jokes about inviting republicans to a gay wedding or going on Atkins diets, Oliver points out real issues like a Dr. denying service to the baby of two lesbians (read more about that here) or how Governors have removed protections for LGBTQ workers after they were installed.
