Linda Wall, the independent and conservative House of Delegates candidate in Virginia’s 59th district, admitted last week to a lesbian sexual relationship with a middle school student in the 1970′s. The affiar came to light during a recent lawsuit where Wall was being sued for defamation.
Wall, now 61, confirmed that the incident happened forty years ago. At that time, she resigned from the Prince George County school after being approached about the lesbian affair and was never charged.
“I was a heavy pot smoker with … impaired judgment and made some bad choices. You do that out of college sometimes,” Wall told the Associated Press.
She is an opponent of same-sex marriage, and an ex-gay claiming God cured her homosexuality.
“When I went away to Longwood College, I allowed liberal professors to destroy my Judeo-Christian upbringing,” she writes. “I guess one could say I became the ‘prodigal daughter.’ But when my rebellious years came to a close, I knew it was the Lord that I needed.”
