VCU’s Former Volley Ball Coach is asking for support in his time of need. In conjunction with other Richmond area LGBT groups, Finley is asking for signatures on an online petition to make sure VCU President Michael Roa handles this delicate situation properly.

The Richmond Gay Community Foundation, along with several other Richmond area LGBT and LGBT friendly organizations, is coordinating a campaign to enlist 1,000 signatures today on petitions that are being forwarded to VCU President, Michael Rao, encouraging him to reinstate the contract of Coach James Finley. As you know, Coach Finley believes he was fired because he is gay. We believe that as well. The link below carries details of the situation and the petition process.
