In a recent early election poll for potential presidential candidates conducted by dating app Grindr, the results from the users who responded might surprise you.
The poll surveyed 1,718 users across the US to find out how LGBTQ voters felt on the biggest issues facing them America today, LGBTQ rights and who they would prefer to win the 2016 presidental election.
Among the Democrats, it was a close race between the two front runners, with Bernie Sanders edging out Hillary Clinton 38% to 35%. Donald Trump, surprisingly, was the top pick among Grindr Republicans with 21 percent of the vote. Other candidates did not fare so well and fell way behind including John Kasich and Jeb Bushwho both came next, each with 7 percent followed by Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, both at the 5 percent level.
