After the number of successes dealing with same-sex marriage during the last election, the Human Rights Campaign is riding high on the momentum. They have enlisted the support of famed actor and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman – who often plays an omnipotent narrator in the many movies he’s been in.

Freeman has been vocal on gay rights before – on twitter he penned the now famous:

I hate the word homophobia. It’s not a phobia. You are not scared. You are an asshole.

In recent interviews, hes expressed his support of gay rights, though albeit based a little on stereotypes:

I grew up in the South but I started dancing in my twenties when I got out of the Air Force, and studying dance, you’re surrounded by gay guys all the time. You get to know them and you have to shift gears!
