On Saturday, August 13, 2011, the Valentine Richmond History Center presents its third annual Lesbian and Gay History Bus Tour. Leading up to the event, GayRVA.com will feature vintage photos from Beth Marshack’s “Lesbian & Gay Richmond” mirrored with images of the city today.
Christopher’s was a gay and lesbian friendly bar and restaurant located on West Cary Street near Boulevard. Carytown has had a large selection of gay-friendly bars, restaurants and shops for the gay community to gather.
Now: Mom Siam’s
Once Christopher’s, Mom Siam’s is one of the most well-known Thai restaurants in Richmond. Located on the edge of Carytown, patrons have the option of dining inside the restaurant or outside on the patio.
