On Saturday, April 18, the Gay Community Center of Richmond will host an open house and volunteer recognition at their location on 1407 Sherwood Avenue. And you get to see their new rainbow-tiled floor. It’s FABULOUS!
Details below:
The Gay Community Center of Richmond will hold a Spring Open House and Volunteer Recognition on Saturday, April 18 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. We have been making some changes and have lots of plans for the future. Come check out our new look and find out what is coming up soon at YOUR Community Center.
The event hall has a great new look! We have installed hard surface flooring and the hall has a great new color scheme. Come check it out. The new flooring will be more durable and versatile than the carpeted surface and really shows off our PRIDE with the rainbow taking center stage.
We will also be taking this opportunity to share some information about upcoming events and to recognize our dedicated volunteers. Each year, our volunteers help us save money and help us give more to the community by helping in the store, in the office, with our bingo operations and staffing special events. GCCR would not exist today without the contributions of our volunteers. Our volunteers are a valuable resource – join us in saying “Thank You!”
Local favorite, singer/songwriter, Amy Henderson will be sharing some of her music with us as well. We are excited to showcase Amy’s music and you can check her out on the web at www.amyhenderson.com.
Come enjoy great company and some great music! Light refreshments will be served.
You can RSVP on Facebook.
