Last month, the Gay Community Center launched a survey to get feedback on the services and programs that should be offered. To take the survey, click here or go directly to GayRichmond.com. More from the GCCR:
The survey is a part of a year-long effort to determine the direction of programming and service development for GCCR. Early this year, we convened an blue-ribbon panel of experienced community activists to develop a strategic plan for our programming efforts. Over the summer, we studied other LGBT community centers nationwide to determine what works, what doesn’t and what the best programming practices are. Now, after 18 months of community center operations, we want to hear from the community at large. We’re interested in impressions about GCCR, but most important, we want to know what kind of programming they’d like to see sponsored by the Center.
This community survey is a continuation of a process that began in July 2007 when we convened a community summit at the then-unfinished Center. The feedback from that effort guided us in our first 18 months of operation. The information we receive from this survey will be critical as we work to develop effective and popular programs at GCCR.
