Fan Free Clinic has posted two new positions in their Health Outreach Department. Both positions involve HIV outreach into the MSM (men who have sex with men) community. From Fan Free Clinic:
Program Coordinator (FT) to provide community outreach and sexual health education to culturally and racially diverse GLBT persons in the Richmond metropolitan area, and provide coordination for the Transgendered Clinic. Must have experience working with diverse populations, comfortable discussing sensitive issues related to sexual health, well trusted and connected in the community, organized, professional, reliable and competent to provide quality programming with attention to detail. Medical background is a plus. Preference will be given to those who are certified HIV test counselors through the state of Virginia and/or have PEMS training and experience. Health Outreach Specialist (PT) to provide community outreach and sexual health education to culturally and racially diverse GLBT persons in the Richmond metropolitan area. This is the perfect part-time job for someone who wants to make a difference and is still in college or is looking for an additional income source. Schedule is relatively fixed and requires some evening, night-time and weekend work. The Health Outreach Specialist works with the Program Coordinator. The position pays ($10-$13/hr).
