This summer, Equality Virginia meets with members of the General Assembly in their home offices – and you can join in.
More from EV:
Introducing yourself to your elected representatives not only puts a name and a face to the issues facing GLBT Virginians but it also reminds them we live in their district and we vote.
In-district meetings allow EV to share our legislative priorities for the 2011 General Assembly and explain the changes needed to provide full Equality for Virginia’s GLBT community.
These meetings are an opportunity to seek out new allies, thank continued supporters and increase the coalition of fair-minded legislators.
Equality Virginia will begin setting appointments next week. If you would like us to schedule a visit with your legislator, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. EV will provide you with talking points, information about our upcoming legislative priorities and leave behinds for your meeting.
in person, by phone or through email, at Equality Virginia we know how important it is for everyone to reach out to the General Assembly. Make sure your voice for Equality for GLBT Virginians is heard this summer.
