Last week the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed Ken Cuccinelli’s suit against President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
Virginia Delegate and Senate nominee Adam Ebbin, had this to say.
“I applaud the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals’ decision to dismiss. Ken Cuccinelli has wasted 18 months and valuable state resources on his politically-motivated lawsuit against health care reform. Now is the time for our Attorney General to go back to protecting Virginians from consumer fraud and Internet crimes, and to stop attempting to undermine laws that improve access to healthcare. We need him to stay focused on efforts that will make Virginia families safer, not sicker.”
In August, Ebbin won the Democratic primary for the 30th State Senate District. If elected, he would be the first openly gay state senator in the Commonwealth.
Despite the Supreme Court’s ruling on same-sex marriage last summer, many states still have language on the books which bans the practice and Virginia is on that list.
