When Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Courtney Act showed up a Connecticut Trump rally, any number of things could have happened – most of them did and they caught it all on tape.
The video, made by the Australian news site Junkee, dropped Act in the middle of a pretty impressive shit-show of Trump support. She found it all – racial supremacy, sexism, misinformed housewives and folks who showed up to protest – all in all it was a pretty good day.
“As Junkee’s official ‘Foreign Correspondent’ it is my duty to cover what’s happening in America for an Australian audience, and there is no bigger ‘happening’ right now than the Donald J. Trump phenomenon,” wrote Act who is in the North East for a production of The Girl From Oz in gay-Mecca Provincetown, Mass.
“People were eager to talk and either didn’t seem to mind or realize that I was in drag,” she wrote. “Frat boys flirted (I had to remind myself that these corn-fed, all-American boys, were probably born this century) and the not-so-skinheads told me they were checking me out from across the road and they were glad I came and chatted to them, but I drew the line at exchanging numbers.
