Parents of students that attend a Delaware elementary school aren’t too happy after receiving an email from the school containing a sarcastic anti-bullying form called the “Hurt Feelings Report”.
The News Journal broke the story, which revealed that the form, made by Lombardy Elementary School in Wilmington, Delaware, poked fun at “whiners” and was accidentally attached to an email about an upcoming event sent by a staff member.
The blank form says its to “assist whiners in documenting hurt feelings” and some of the reasons included for the “whiner” filing the report are “I am a crybaby”, “I want my mommy” and “I am a wimp”.
A portion at the bottom also goes on to mock victims of bullying by stating that they can dispatch a “hugger” if needed and if a hugger cannot be found, than an “EMS team will be dispatched to soak your socks in coal oil to prevent ants from crawling up your leg and eating their way to your candy ass”.
Brandywine School District came out with a statement on Wednesday according to The News Journal.
“This was an embarrassing mistake, but it was just that – a mistake,” spokeswoman Alexis Andrianopoulos said in an email according to the story.“It should not have happened, and we apologize for the error.”
