A Charlottesville teen has been charged with sodomy after police say he sexually assaulted a sleeping man.
Ambrose Delgado-Rodriguez (top image), 19, is facing 5-years to life over what police have called “forcible sodomy.”
While sodomy between consenting adults is legal, police say the unnamed victim, another 19-year-old male, was awoken from sleep to Delgado-Rodriguez sexually assaulting him without consent.
The sodomy charge is also used for sex acts outside of vaginal intercourse.
The attacker fled the home but was chased down and held by the victim until Charlottesville police arrived.
DelgadoRodriguez, a Charlottesville resident, is currently being held at the Albemarle Charlottesville Regional Jail.
