Richmond has been a big test to me personally and as an activist. I found that moving to a small town, you have to slowly work to get “in”. All cities have cliques, but I have found Richmond’s are the tightest circles I have seen. A majority of my friends here are people who have moved to Richmond from somewhere else. It seems to be a common issue for “outsiders” to not feel welcome in the community here initially. Hopefully this is something that we will see change.
Last Thursday, the Indigo Girls made a stop at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens as part of Groovin’ in the Garden.
