Those who use the gay dating app Grindr and updated their Iphones yesterday might notice a familiar feature as part of Apple’s new mobile operating system.
You can now send location pins via Imessage. Take a look at the images below:

Apple’s all too excited to provide this feature to its users, as seen in their explanation of the new location sharing system:
“Where are you?” Answer that question more clearly than ever with a map showing your location. You can also share your whereabouts with people you choose for an hour, until the end of the day, or indefinitely. And you can see people in the message thread on a map if they’ve shared their locations.
That doesn’t at all sound creepy and weird… or like a total improvement. So for those of you who start your convos on Grindr and then move them into Imessage, you’ll be happy to know you can let your date/hookup know where you’ll be for quite some time.
