The Colorado based anti-gay group Focus on the Family created a movie and it’s coming to RVA tomorrow. Irreplaceable, a documentary which aims “search the world for answers” in relation to love and family… but not same-sex families.
“’Family’ has all but lost its meaning in our modern cultural landscape. And the fallout has been significant,” state’s the movies’ website. “Divorce. Crime. Poverty. Addictions. Abuse. Our attempts to redefine and reimagine the family only make these problems worse, not better. When the family is weakened, society suffers. But strong families make the world a better place!”
The Southern Poverty Law Center, a group which monitors hate groups nationally, has managed to document some of the many falsehoods which have sprung from Focus on the Family. The main offender has been FOF’s Founder James Dobson who has made it his mission to discredit same-sex family.
Here’s a bit of what Dobson thinks of the gays and their desire to live a normal life from SPLC:
“Moms and Dads, are you listening? This movement is the greatest threat to your children. It is of particular danger to your wide-eyed boys, who have no idea what demoralization is planned for them.” Another article claims that “the homosexual agenda is a beast. It wants our kids.”
So this guy helped make a movie, and it’s showing nation wide. Watch the trailer below and prepare to be sick.
