B.Steady has been exploring the art of creating fun pop music and specializes in elaborate vocal layering and harmony. She released her first self-produced album on Itunes in January 2011, and posts an original live song weekly on her queerBgirl YouTube video blog. B. is a singer MC in queer pop group The Lost Bois. Her music is simple yet infectious and always sincere.
Taylor Johnson is a lover of words and language. Through spoken word poetry, Johnson is trying to perfect the art of social documentation. She has opened for Bill Cosby, Suheir Hammad, Climbing Poetree and M1 of the hip hop duo dead.prez.
Our resident DJ Amy Alderman will be performing during and after every show. Alderman offers a blend of anthem, circuit and tribal dance music. She’s been featured around the country and now spins regularly at Nations and Babe’s of Carytown.
New Orleans-based Daniel Gray has been performing club/dance music to eager fans thanks to his critically successful dance album “INVICTUS.” Gray has a new album slated to be released in the summer 2011 which he promises to be a little more gritty and 100% pure club dance. The first single, “Incarcerated,” is already gaining popularity with over 1,500 downloads in its first week.
BJ Kocen is a Richmond native playing everything from acoustic rock to soothing folk. His first solo album “The Breaks” gives a refreshing mix of blues, pop and contemporary folk.
Singer/Songwriter/Producer T.Soul is an artist from Virginia whose music has been known to touch the hearts of everyone listening. His voice allows for the soul to return to music. He’s been compared to the likes of Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, R. Kelly, Otis Redding and plenty more. T.Soul’s debut album entitled “Love & Music” and is set for release soon.
Amy Henderson is a regular around Richmond, where she performs regularly and has a devoted fan base. You can usually catch her hosting Open Mic at Shenanigan’s. Her acoustic folk rock sound gets people moving and waiting for more.
Tom Goss’ music continues to stand at the forefront of LGBTQ equality and arts. His newest music video “Lover” tackled Don’t Ask Don’t Tell head on and was featured in many prominent LGBT media. Goss also received much recognition for his 2009 album “Back To Love,” which was spun nationally on over 250 radio stations and his latest album, “Turn It Around,” has just been released.
