I am loving this look for summer. The new length for men’s shorts is cropped just below the knee. This hybrid length between shorts and pants is stylish and innovative. The fabric of these pants is a soft lightweight cotton jersey that breathes and allows movement in these hot temperatures. Another great detail of this look is the combat boots. I am a huge fan of deconstructed combat boots and was so excited to see them out in the summer.
I will say that I am a strong believer that boots can be worn all year round if done right. The boots really edge out the look and make it very urban. The deconstructed shirt balances the look with a bold color and simple cut. Rolling up the sleeves of the top is a great detail that is very reminiscent of vintage looks, which are so popular right now. Rosary necklaces are a fun accent and accessory that that added some personality to the look. Lastly is the hair, styled by Blackbird salon in Richmond. The hair is edgy and different and very well styled!
Pants that are even comfortable enough to do this! fancy
Summer is the season of white. Both of these styles have a bright, clean white top that pulls the outfit together and picks up any of that great summer tan. The variation of the peasant top on the left is a great look for the summer. It falls away from the body and has crochet detailing for trim. Paired with the khaki fold-over shorts and gladiator sandals, the look is light and fun and great for summer.
A detail I appreciated was the choice to wear earrings instead of a typical necklace with this look. With straight necklines, necklaces often break up the line created by the shirt. Earrings elongate the neck and make it very flattering. For tops similar to this one look to Urban Outfitters.
The other outfit on the right is a great summer outfit for men. The cropped length of the pants, also seen in the previous images, is a popular new take on warm weather pants. The zipper detailing up the side makes the pants edgy and fun. Vans are great shoes for the city if you’re out and want a more casual look. With the monochromatic scheme present throughout the look, the contrast of the color in the shoes was a great detail. Shoes are definitely an opportunity to add some color to a basic outfit. Both of these looks stand out and are pulled off without a hitch.
