The folks at Levi’s® are back for a second year in their support of LGBTQ equality, and they’ve chosen some pretty neat designs to help raise awareness and spread a positive message about one of the community’s darkest days.
“Levi’s has always celebrated one’s authentic self expression. With the 2015 Pride collection, we wanted to continue building a voice within the community by honoring its history,” wrote Grant Barth, Chief Merchandising Officer at Levi’s® head of the line’s release. One of the shirts designs details the history of the LGBTQ movement on a timeline.
“When you think of the first fight for LGBTQ equality, you think Stonewall,” said Barth. ”The idea is to start with the most significant rallies for equality and continue honoring moments that have brought the community forward.”
Among the pieces in the collection are the hat and shirts we’ve got pictured, but also tank tops, shorts, jean jackets, and a mess of other great wears for the Pride season!
Check out the lovely Steven Franco Ramirez and Tyler Hammel in some of the swag in the top image and below:
The Pride Collection will be available throughout the months of May and June on www.levi.com and at select stores in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Portland, San Francisco, Toronto, Washington DC. Prices range from $18-$98 with net proceeds benefitting the Stonewall Community Foundation.
You can also snag one of the shirts (or the hat) that we got sent by sharing this post and tagging GayRVA.com in the post! We’ll pick a winner next week! The shirts are size medium, and the hats are one-size-fits all.
