Keeping relationships fresh can truly be a challenge. Once you live together for a period of time you realize you have pet peeves you never knew about before…Like how she leaves the refrigerator door open while she pours the milk or how you set up shop on her side of the bed daily. Throw in some kids and busy schedules and you may wonder how people keep it fresh.
It’s all in the quality, never the quantity: If you spend all day together but are not open to one another you won’t feel rejuvenated by your partner. However if you are open and pay attention the results can be amazing.
Sometimes you need reminding… My Dena was called away for work for forever weeks. We kept up with one another and with what the other missed out on each day, all the while missing each other.
Once home, with the weekend over, she headed out to work while I was still dreaming and she left me a note. What that note said is no matter here but when I saw it my heart skipped. She leaves the family notes daily since she leaves before any of us crack an eye and I had no idea how much I looked forward to those notes until that morning.
We start with love each day.
I’ll give you some more ideas here, but tell me, what do you do to keep it all fresh?
Send or leave a love letter
Go to bed early and chat…or not
Cuddle for a few minutes in the morning before starting the day
