If you’re in the mood for soups and sandwiches in a smaller, more romantic environment, Zuppa is the place to be.
Zuppa, located at 101 N. 18th Street in Shockoe Bottom, offers a nice variety of delicious meals for a reasonable price. I actually went on a date here recently and the atmosphere and food made it a great evening.
The atmosphere is clean and rustic, with red bricks all around. The size of the place is small, but just small enough to enjoy intimate conversation. The service was really friendly and helpful. Our waitress (I regretfully don’t remember her name) chatted with us half the time and cracked us up.
The gazpacho was absolutely delicious and the never ending homemade bread kept me wanting more. I can’t remember the last time I ate that much. My date must have thought I was a pig.
