Not since Peaches has an artist turned electro sexuality on its head like NYC’s Naked Highway. The groups unique fusion of Dance/Electronica and New Wave has also created a demand for remix work from major label acts such as Rihanna (“Breaking Dishes”), Lady GaGa (“Lovegame”), The Presets (“If I Know You”) and INXS (“Mediate” feat. Tricky), the latter a Billboard Top 20 Dance Chart entry. As a live act, Naked Highway unleashes a visual spectacle of their infectious music with costumes, choreography and charisma! This has led to high-profile international appearances at the SONAR FESTIVAL (Barcelona, Spain), CMJ MUSIC MARATHON (New York), NORTH BY NORTHEAST (Toronto, Canada) and MIAMI WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE, as well as tours across the United States and Europe.
Hot. Talented. Current. These are all words critics have used to describe up-and-coming vocalist VELO. After winning a local talent competition in Seattle, Washington, VELO embarked on a yearlong nightclub tour where he performed for audiences at ElektroPop at the Baltic Room, PrideFest at Seattle Center, Julia’s on Broadway, and more. VELO, an openly gay man and proud Latino male, is taking his message of love to the masses. “Every time I perform I am making a political statement that as a gay Latino male, I too can be visible,” VELO said. “I like all the different types of Gay men that make up the spectrum of our community…”
A singer, songwriter and entertainer hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Billy Winn is a powerhouse talent! He initiated his pursuit by attending Pittsburgh’s performing arts schools, writing songs, and performing in local talent competitions. After high school he moved to Washington, DC, where he began working as a backup singer, before becoming apart of an Indie-Soul singing group. After the group disbanded, Billy began recording his first project and wanted to define a signature sound. This summer he released the single “Future X Boyfriend,” a sexy Electro/Pop dance number that continues to gain exposure and attention for the burgeoning Pop performer. Billy describes his musical sound as, “A blend of Electro/Pop beats with a sexy urban edge.” He notes his influences as Prince, Aaliyah, and Janet Jackson.
