Every year, Americans spend over $600 billion (yes, with a B) on Black Friday. What if just a 10th of that was spent on small businesses? Think of the economic impact we could have in the local area. Well, that’s where Small Business Saturday, theSaturday after Black Friday, comes in.
You can do your part, and we’ve got the guide to help. We spent a short afternoon running up and down Carytown, checking out local shops, taking photos, and realizing how many amazing gift ideas were right in our backyard. Lord knows there are more local shops in Carytown, and in the Greater Richmond area, than are showcased here; but we did this on our own with our own limited resources, because we’re a small business too.
So have a look, get inspired, and consider shopping local this year. We hope to see you in Carytown this weekend. From RVA Mag and GayRVA, have a great holiday!
