GayRVA’s Bollywood Birthday Bash

Okay – we’re a little biased, but it’s our birthday, k? We’re pulling out all the stops at Gallery5 for this one. Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside hosts some banghra burlesque when doors open at 8 p.m. followed by a bangin’ Bollywood dance party with DJ Carlito. Tickets are $5 in advance here until noon on Friday. Tickets are $10 at the door. 18+
Richmond Vegetarian Festival

Who doesn’t love a good, green, hempy festival? Check out over two-dozen veggie and vegan food vendors plus local non-profits in Bryan Park from noon – 6 p.m. Free.
Voix De Ville Follies presents “Summer Vacation!”
Saturday
Join Cherrie Canary, Kiki Von Kitsch (also performing at our birthday bash!), and ringmaster Parker Galore for some naughty burlesque antics at Gallery5. This month features guest performances from Boo Boo Darlin’ and the tap-dancing Greta Von Tapp. Tickets are $10 in advance here or $15 at the door. Doors at 8, Show at 9 p.m. 18+
Tom Judson In Canned Ham
Friday & Saturday
Possibly better known as porn star Gus Mattox, the now stage actor, writer and accompanist Tom Judson brings his one man show to Richmond Triangle Players. This handsome fellow stops in Richmond after long runs in Provincetown and NYC. Tickets are $25 at http://rtriangle.org. 8 p.m. show time.
Transgender Day at MCC
Sunday
This special Sunday worship at Metropolitan Community Church will be followed by a reception at 12:30 p.m. with guest speakers on transgender issues and resources. The event is free and open to the public.
