Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

The Firehouse Theatre Project presents Cat on a Hot Tin Roofas part of the Tennessee Williams Festival. The play is about a powerful Southern family who has come together to celebrate the birthday of “Big Daddy.” The family discovers though, that Big Daddy is dying of cancer and they hide the diagnosis from him and Big Mama. Meanwhile, tensions mount as former football hero and alcoholic Brick and his sexually frustrated wife Maggie, “The Cat,” hit a stormy but steamy climax in their relationship. The play will be featured at Firehouse Theatre Project from Sept. 22 to Oct. 15, 2011. For more information or to purchase tickets online here.
Richmond Triangle Players “2nd Fabulous Gala”

This Saturday, Sept. 17, is Richmond Triangle Players upcoming gala, “For a Song.” The event features performances by Lanaya Burnette, Georgia Rogers Farmer, Chris Hester, Starlet Knight and members of the Richmond Men’s Chorus. There will also be an appearance made by “The Stops,” Steven Boschen, Todd Minnich and Kirk Morton with comedy provided by Eddie Sarfaty. Avenue 805 will be providing cocktails and hors d’eourves for the event. Tickets are $150+. Purchase tickets here.
Voix de Ville Follies presents “Hee Haw!”

Slap on some cowboy boots or cowboy hats and get ready for some good ole’ fashioned country fun. Voix de Ville Follies pays homage to Hee Haw, the classic television variety show. Deepa De Jour will be a scantily clad farmer’s daughter to Magnolia Jackson Picket Burnside’s Queen of Southern Comfort. Enjoy live music provided by Andy Vaughn and the Driveline. Third Sunday Estavaganza

The Trailer Court goes to the movies this Sunday from 8 to 11 p.m. at Babes of Carytown. Esta Bunny, Natasha Carrington, Stormie Saunders, Candy Pantzzz, Divika Monroe and Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside perform songs from Hollywood classics. 21+. No cover.
