Spoiler Alert! True Blood’s Comeback
Last night’s episode of True Blood marked the beginning of the highly anticipated fourth season. So many possible story plots emerged in the first episode that you know its going to be a crazy ride.
The episode begins with Sookie following her “fairy godmother” to another plane where the fairies are herding humans..and feeding them magical light fruit that keeps them oblivious to their surroundings. In true Sookie fashion, she refrains from eating the fruit and begins to see the real situation at hand. She and her Grandpa Earl reunite only to be chased down after they try to run. They jump back into Bon Temps, with Sookie being the sole survivor. The portal was closed, but I am sure that is not the last we will be hearing from the fairy god people gone bad.
She goes back to her house only to find construction workers inhabiting the place and making changes.
Enter Jason Stackhouse! Hot cop Jason answers to a distress call and is surprised to see Sookie, who although was gone for what felt like 15 minutes in the other realm was actually 12 and a half months in Bon Temps. After months of not knowing where she went and accusations that Bill killed Sookie, most people gave up looking.
A clean cut Bill Compton runs to her house when it gets dark to make sure she is alright when who should arrive but Eric. Sookie is surprised when Bill can order Eric away easily, but brushes it off. We really are not sure whats going on with that situation with Bill talking to another woman…A Brunette.
In this post Russel Edgington world, vampires are getting political with campaigns to win back the humans trust. Bill is the new King after he defeated Evan Rachel Wood as the Queen of the vampires.
Last nights episode answered the question of what True Blood character is gay this season. Tara changed her name and is now a lesbian. She is floating from place to place trying to escape Bon Temps and what it holds for her.
Andy Bellefleur is addicted to V..but we don’t quite know how it happened.
Lafayette might just be following in Jesus’s (his boyfriend) footsteps in being a Wiccan..which should be fun plot line for the season. Aunt Petunia from Harry Potter plays the eccentric Wiccan who can channel spirits and bring dead things back to life. She just can not stay away from magic.
After trying to discuss her housing situation with a realtor, Sookie learns that her house has been purchased by another person. We find out later when Eric is able to enter the house even after Sookie has rescinded her invitation that it is Eric who now owns the house..and essentially the ticket to get to Sookie.
Sam shot his brother Tommy in the leg…and Tommy is now Hoyt’s moms new kid?..confusing but Sam is in group therapy with other shape shifters.
Jessica and Hoyt are discovering the joys of living together and you can begin to see the cracks in their relationship. Between Jessica feeding on him and her lack of domestic qualities, new strains are present. Jessica’s eyes begin to wander at Fangtasia when Pam (one of the best characters on the show), discusses other options for a new vampire who wants to hunt.
Jason is bringing supplies to the ”were panthers” and helping them out, so naturally they push him in an ice box and lock him in. From watching the previews, it looks like Crystal is going to change him into a panther. All I ask is that she removes the awkward facial hair he is sporting during the process. Then he will be back to his flawless chiseled self.
This season is going to be insane so get ready to have your mind blown.
