A little proggy – a little harmony – a whole lot of moody-ness. I figured St. Vincent would make a good choice for such a gloomy Monday AM.
Annie Erin Clark, AKA St. Vincent, has a pretty solid indie music resume. She was in the Polyaphonic Spree until 2006 when she left to play with Sufjan Stevens. Clark soon began work on her first solo album – ‘Actor’ – and made massive waves with fans and critics alike. Her most recent album, ‘Strange Mercy’ (where the above song is from) did pretty darn well too.
As of late, she’s been on tour with David Byrne of the Talking heads – kind of a holy grail of collabs for an aspiring artist. Not to mention her curls – man, part of me would kill for locks like that.
