Equality Virginia’s annual Commonwealth Dinner is a chance for Virginia’s LGBTQ population to come together and celebrate the advances the community has achieved as well as honor the struggles we continue to face.
The massive event, held at the Richmond Convention Center, brings folks from around the state here to Richmond for one night and this year’s aims to be packed with laughs.
Lesbian, comedian, Seinfeld writer and Emmy nominee Carol Leifer will host this year’s event and bring her particular brand of comedy to what is sure to be a sold out crowd.
“As we continue with all of the hard work we are doing down at the General Assembly during this robust legislative session, we look forward to celebrating Virginia’s movement towards full equality, having a few laughs, and honoring this year’s OUTstanding Virginians,” wrote EV’s Executive Director James Parrish in an email.
There will be plenty more surprises to come, including prizes and auction items, but EV wanted to make this special announcement while you can still purchase tickets at our early bird price!
