The Richmond Triangle Players hosts its weekly Tuesday Night at the Movie tomorrow Tuesday, May 24, 7:30 p.m. with a screening of Joan Crawford – Always The Star.
The movie pays tribute to the late starlet’s life and 45-year film career. The screening is $5 with free popcorn available with a drink purchase.
Other movie screenings in weeks to come include Different from the Others; the very first gay liberation film, Think Pink! Fashion in Film, The Times of Harvey Milk, The Gay Deceivers, and Before Stonewall, a 1985 documentary that focuses on the start of Gay Liberation.
Tonight at 5:30 pm across the country, an estimated 700 theaters will participate in an event called The Ghostlight Project. On the eve of the 45th Presidential inauguration, ranging from Broadway to regional academic or community theaters, people will gather to symbolically create light for what they perceive as dark times ahead.
