This year’s STRUT highlighted six different scenes in “Return of the Runway” and featured multiple designers who’s individual talents formed a cohesive concept for each scene. The variety of textures and fabrics used for each scene gave the show a substance that combined haute couture with everyday wearability.
Scene 01 – Lace & Chiffon – This collection was the epitome of femininity with sheer fabrics and frills.
Scene 02 - Leather – A complete opposite of the Lace & Chiffon scene, rough yet polished.
Scene 03 - Denim & Knit – Chunky open weave knits were the main focus of this collection.
Scene 04 - Metallics – This collection caught the light with shiny, shimmering metallics.
Scene 05 - Velvet – Plush yet elegant, I was a fan of the hooded styles within this scene.
Scene 06 - Fur – Fur is luxurious yet wearable within this collection with beautiful faux-fur pieces.
In addition to the wide variety of fashions showcased at STRUT, the models were a compilation of various body shapes and heights to add some diversity into the mix which truly showed how fashion is for everyone.
