The groups will showcase a variety of genres, ranging from indie pop to new-wave dance synth and post-punk. The visual art, designed in collaboration by Todd Raviotta and Bryan Unger, will be put on in conjunction with the bands, providing the audience with an eclectic and dazzling mix of audio and illustrative design.
Each band features members who identify as LGTBQ, and all the money collected at the event goes towards ROSMY.
ROSMY, which was established in 1991, is an organization that works to create equal opportunities for youth who identify as LGTBQ by way of support meetings, advocacy, and providing a safe place for people to be themselves without judgment.
“We are thrilled to have the support from Toxic Moxie, Dead Fame and My Darling Fury for the Queermatter show,” said beth Panilaitis, ROSMY’s Executive Director. “It is always wonderful to see individuals come together to support the LGBTQ youth in our community.”
“We are grateful to all of the musicians for making this event possible.”
QueerMatter kicks off at 8pm, the doors opening at 7:30. The show is 21+, and there is a suggested $10 donation to go towards the cause.
