Richmond Triangle Players has announced their schedule for the 2012-13 season.
Among the announced productions are:
Paul Rudnick’s “Regrets Only,” a single-location “Comedy of Manhattan Manners.”
Cheryl West’s “Before it Hits Home,” an AIDS-themed drama about the secret life of a bisexual jazz musician.
Alexi Kaye Campbell’s “The Pride,” an exploration of the differences between the gay experience in 1958 and 2008.
“La Cage aux Folles,” the acclaimed Broadway musical that tells the story of the friction between a gay couple and their conservative future in-laws.
In addition to these shows and more, RTP will begin a celebration of its 20th anniversary on Sept. 15 with their 20th Anniversary Gala at the Hippodrome Theatre. The 2012-13 season will begin Sept. 19, 2012.
Tonight at 5:30 pm across the country, an estimated 700 theaters will participate in an event called The Ghostlight Project. On the eve of the 45th Presidential inauguration, ranging from Broadway to regional academic or community theaters, people will gather to symbolically create light for what they perceive as dark times ahead.
