Last week, Richmond CenterStage announced that performer Patti LaBelle will be taking the stage on Saturday, September 10 at the arts center’s anniversary gala.
LaBelle replaces Bernadette Peters, who is unable to perform because of a commitment on Broadway.
“While we are disappointed that Bernadette Peters has scheduling obligations in New York on September 10, we are thrilled to have legendary icon Patti LaBelle on stage to help us celebrate CenterStage’s second birthday.” Richmond CenterStage Executive Director Richard M. Parison, Jr. said.
“I know that Ms. LaBelle will electrify audiences and ring in the 2011-2012 performing arts season in a way that only she can!”
Tickets to the original performance are still valid but a full refund is available upon request at the original point of purchase.
The performance is part of CenterStage’s 2nd Birthday. The evening includes a gala with dinner, drinks, and dancing with the Upper East Side Big Band taking the stage after LaBelle.
Concert-only tickets will be available to the public on July 15 at 10:00 a.m. and are priced at $48, $78, and $125. VIP Gala Tickets are $250 per person. The Carpenter Theater CenterStage is at 600 E. Grace Street. Tickets and more information are available at RichmondCenterStage.com.
