What a night! GayRVA took over New York Deli with its first birthday on Thursday. The evening started out with a little burlesque from the ladies of Richmond Varietease, our birthday twins! Cherry Bomb kept the patio chill and the dance floor pumpin’ with their signature vintage vinyl throughout the night.
Patrice Lewis from Mark Warner’s office presented a letter from the Senator congratulating GayRVA on one year. The cast of Rent performed “I’ll Cover You.” Rent opens at the Firehouse Theater on June 24.
The ladies behind Pennies In Protest took the stage to accept our Out.Spoken Richmonder of The Year and gave a rousing speech thanking Richmond for giving $14,000 to gay and Jewish causes.
To top off the celebration, underwear models from Skiviez.com spread cupcake love to the crowd courtesy of Two Sweet Cupcake Boutique.
