With over 300 attendees already confirmed and less than a week away from Tuesday night’s event, Natasha Carrington and her committee are working to fill those final spots that raise money for Fan Free Clinic.
The committee has spent months planning this year’s third annual event that brings the drag community together with LGBT and allies for an evening of electrifying entertainment. Performers across the city take the stage for Richmond’s largest drag cabaret with each nightlife venue represented.
“This years event, much like years past if going to be filled with over-the-top production numbers and costumes with feathers, glitter and sequins flying,” Carrington says.
Since it’s inception, Fun For A Cause has raised $29,000 for the free clinic with this year’s goal set at $20,000.
This year’s event includes burlesque entertainers in addition to out-of-town guests from So Addictive Lounge in Fairfax, which is managed by Richmond native Austin Jennings.
As media sponsor of this year’s Fun For A Cause, GayRVA.com is hosting Fashion For A Cause as part of the festivities leading up to Tuesday’s event.
