Hold on to your seats River City and prepare to get Fat! Fat Friday’s is making its debut this Friday, July 1 at Babes of Carytown at 9 p.m.
According to queen bee and hostess Sharon Husbands, this new show consists of fast pace energetic performances that combine dancing and comedy. A combination, Husband says, is sure to please.
“It’s funny… me and a bunch of skinny dancing divas on Friday. You can’t get much better than that,” she said.
This hour long show will consist of six entertainers including Husbands, her drag daughter Daisy Stockton (recently names showcast director for VCU and UofR’s Drag Ball), dancing diva Michelle Livigne of Godfrey’s fame, and the current Miss Nations Miss Millenium C. Snow, and The Lady Chanel.
Husband’s is also excited about another debut of the night – a signature cocktail whipped up for the event. This “Official Drink of Fat Fridays” is made up of Country Time Lemonade and Three Olives Cherry Vodka with a sugar rim. In her own words, “After about 12 of those, who knows what you will do!”
With a setlist of all upbeat performances, Husband promises never a dull moment.
Babes is also offering a 10% discount off of food purchases with a printed copy of the Fat Fridays flyer. This food deal runs from 8-10 p.m. and is good for anything from the regular menu. Husbands gives a glowing recommendation to the Pineapple Swiss Burger.
Fat Fridays is 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. at Babes of Carytown, 3166 W. Cary St., 21+, $5 at the door.
