Charlottesville’s only gay and lesbian Private Club, Club 216, is having a grand reopening with an open house celebration this Saturday, June 4.
After renovations, Club 216 now features two bars, re-furnished restrooms, and new drink rails in several different locations. The dance floor will be illuminated with new lights and the entire club space has been tiled.
On Saturday, Club 216 celebrates with performances from drag divas and will have door prizes, a hot body contest, and music by DJ Frank Rivera.
No membership is required to attend this event. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. and the party is expected to continue until 5 a.m.
Guests must be 18+ to enter and 21+ to drink with admission set at $3.00 for members and $15.00 for guests. Club 216 is located at 609 East Market Street, Suite 112 in the courtyard of the Old Michie Building
Club 216 is a LGBT and Straight Social and Dance Club owned and operated by the Piedmont Triangle Society. PTS is a non-profit organization established to promote the interests of the gay community and its constituents in Virginia.
A Charlottesville teen has been charged with sodomy after police say he sexually assaulted a sleeping man.
