Netflix’s Sense8 is a weird mix of cultures, genders and sexualities, and now they’re throwing Christmas in the mix… some how.
The online streaming service debuted the sci-fi/action series created by the Wachowski’s back Summer 2015. It featured a solid dose of ass kicking and NSFW love scenes that we really enjoyed – including the trans-lead character in Nomi (played by real-life trans actress Jamie Clayton) and the secretly gay Lito played Spanish born actor Miguel Ángel Silvestre.
And now Netflix has announced both a second season launch date for the series as well as a… Christmas special? The press release didn’t provide much detail except that it launches Friday, December 23 at 12:01am PT.
The season two story continues with 10 new episodes launching globally on Friday, May 5 at 12:01am PT.
In season two, the journey continues as these eight singular hearts and minds weave in and out of each other’s lives finding deeper connections, learning darker, more desperate secrets about one another and struggling to identify with more than just oneself.
