Headwig tells the story of a European trans woman who escapes her communist home only to face great adversity in the states. She ends up forming a rock band with a group of locals and things only get worse from there. Heart ache, poverty, and a botched sex change are among the many struggles the otherwise fabulous Headwig faces.
