First off, I’m not a fan of this series. It’s just a bunch of CGI robots fighting each other, so I wasn’t prepared to like this. However, for the first 2 hours (yes, it’s 2:37) I was quite entertained. Not so much by the big metal, but by the funny, scenery-chewing supporting cast, the well-executed special effects and design and the involving story. Then comes the big battle and even though there are some cool sequences, it goes on waaay too long and is just a noisy jumble.
