The 4th annual Run for ROSMY is set for Nov. 15th, and your chance to learn more about the fundraiser happens Wednesday night at Hardywood Brewery.
The Run for ROSMY has raised about $60K over the years with a goal of $15K every year, and Cameron McPherson, member of the ROSMY Junior board said Wednesday night’s event is a great chance to “Learn about the fundraiser, chat about what ROSMY’s been doing, and have a couple beers.”
Of course this event is about more than just tastes local craft brews, it’s about helping local LGBTQ youth.
“The Run for ROSMY raises critical funds that support ROSMY’s youth support groups, leadership program and Institute for Equality training program,” said ROSMY ED Beth Panilaitis. ”In the past year, youth attendance has grown by 31%! Run for ROSMY helps us keep up with this increasing demand for services. It is a great way for community members to support LGBTQ youth while engaging in a fun and healthy activity. You can meet other participants at the pasta dinner and even win prizes!”
Even if you don’t plan to run in November, 10% of the proceeds from Wednesday night’s event will go to ROSMY.
This a 21+ event, and starts at 6 PM at Hardywood Brewery, 2408 Ownby Ln, Richmond.
